Privacy Policy for Apps

Effective date: October 1, 2026

This policy covers the mobile apps that I, Tareq Hasan, publish as an individual developer on the Apple App Store and Google Play (the “apps”). They are small games, utility apps and educational apps for young children. It explains what the apps collect, why, who receives it, and the choices you have.

Apps made for children follow stricter rules, set out under Apps for children; where that section differs from the rest of this policy, it takes priority.

Not every app does everything described here. Each app’s store listing (the App Privacy section on the App Store and the Data safety section on Google Play) shows what that particular app collects.

If you have a question or a request, email [email protected].

What is collected

Information you give

  • Account details. Some apps let you create an account or sign in with Apple or Google. In that case the app receives your email address, the name on your profile if you share it, and an account identifier.
  • Content you save. Apps with sync store the things you create in the app (for example saved items, settings or game progress) on a server so they are available on your other devices.
  • Messages. If you email me for support, I receive your email address and whatever you write.

Apps without an account keep everything you create on your device, and I never receive it.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and app information. Device model, operating system version, language, country, app version and screen size.
  • Identifiers. An app installation ID, and the advertising ID of your device (IDFA on iOS, Android advertising ID) where you have allowed it.
  • Usage data. Which screens and features are used, session length and similar events.
  • Diagnostics. Crash logs and performance data.
  • Approximate location. A general region derived from your IP address. The apps do not ask for precise location unless a feature clearly needs it and you grant the permission.

Purchases

In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple or Google. I receive confirmation of what was purchased and whether a subscription is active. I never receive your card number or billing details.

How it is used

  • To provide the app’s features, including sign-in and sync.
  • To unlock what you have purchased and to restore purchases.
  • To understand which features are used and to improve the apps.
  • To find and fix crashes and performance problems.
  • To show ads in the apps that carry them, and to measure them.
  • To answer support requests.
  • To prevent abuse and to meet legal obligations.

I do not sell your personal information.

Third-party services

The apps rely on services run by other companies. These services collect data directly through their own code inside the app and handle it under their own privacy policies.

Purpose Service What it receives
Advertising Ad networks such as Google AdMob Advertising ID, IP address, device information, ad interactions
Analytics Analytics tools such as Google Analytics for Firebase Installation ID, device information, usage events
Crash reporting Diagnostics tools such as Firebase Crashlytics Crash logs, device information, installation ID
Purchases Apple and Google Play billing Purchase and subscription details
Sign-in and sync Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In and a cloud hosting provider Account details and the content you sync

Apart from these services, I share information only when the law requires it, or when it is needed to protect the rights and safety of users or of the apps.

Ads and your choices

Apps that show ads may show personalised ads, which use your advertising ID and activity to choose ads that are more relevant to you.

  • On iOS, the app asks for permission before tracking. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
  • On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings → Privacy → Ads.
  • In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before showing personalised ads, and you can change that choice from the app’s settings.

If you decline, you still see ads, but they are not based on your activity.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, I process your information on these grounds:

  • Contract, to provide the app, accounts, sync and purchases.
  • Consent, for personalised advertising and, where required, analytics. You can withdraw it at any time.
  • Legitimate interests, to keep the apps working, secure and improving.
  • Legal obligation, where the law requires it.

How long it is kept

  • Account details and synced content are kept until you delete your account. They are then removed within 30 days.
  • Analytics and crash data are kept by the providers for a limited period, usually no longer than 14 months, and then deleted or anonymised.
  • Purchase records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require.
  • Support emails are kept for as long as needed to resolve the request.

Deleting your account and data

You can delete your account from inside the app where the app offers accounts, or ask me to do it. The steps are on the account deletion page.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict how it is used. Residents of California and other US states with similar laws may also opt out of the “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising; the tracking and ad settings above do that.

To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. I respond within 30 days and will never treat you differently for making a request. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Apps for children

Some of the apps are made for young children, such as educational apps for toddlers. They are listed in the Kids category on the App Store and in the Designed for Families programme on Google Play, and they are meant to be used with a parent or guardian. These apps work differently from the others:

  • No ads. They contain no third-party advertising.
  • No accounts. A child is never asked to sign in or to give a name, email address, photo, voice recording or any other personal information.
  • No tracking. They do not use the advertising ID, do not build profiles and do not track a child across apps or websites.
  • No precise location, contacts, camera or microphone access, unless an activity clearly needs it. In that case the data is used only on the device and never leaves it.
  • Progress stays on the device. What a child does in the app, such as completed activities, is stored only on the device and is removed when the app is uninstalled.
  • Diagnostics only. The apps may send anonymous crash and performance reports that contain device model, operating system version and an installation ID, with no advertising ID. This is used only to keep the app working and is never used for advertising or to identify a child.
  • Parental gate. Purchases, links that leave the app and the support contact sit behind a gate meant for an adult.

These apps are designed to comply with the US Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the rules on children’s data in the GDPR, and the children’s policies of the App Store and Google Play.

If you are a parent or guardian, you can ask what information, if any, has been collected from your child’s device, ask for it to be deleted, and refuse any further collection. Email [email protected].

Children and the other apps

The apps that are not made for children are for a general audience and are not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). I do not knowingly collect personal information from children through them. If you believe a child has given personal information to one of those apps, email me and I will delete it.

Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections, and access to stored account data is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so I cannot guarantee absolute security.

International transfers

The service providers above may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where the law requires it, those transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the effective date at the top changes with it. For significant changes I will add a notice in the affected apps.
